Meaning: flaunting one's wealth; references the character Boss Hogg, who was the wealthy, greedy, unethical commissioner of Hazzard County in the television series The Dukes of Hazzard.
We're just tryin' to have a simple barbecue for simple folk, and here comes Dale in his Mercedes Benz awl boss hoggin' it with his fancy suit and designer sunglasses. I hate that dude.

Dale makes me feel bad as he's got some anger issues. Boss Hogg on the other hand is 100% pure. The definition of pure is: "without foreign substance". Ole Hogg loves his money and power and will do anything to get it and keep it. He's easy to understand, just don't trust him. He must be using Sheriff Dale for security.
Ole Sheriff Dale works for Boss. Dale used to work for the Mafia in NYC, but was fired from his job as a debt/collector-enforcer. He was way too mean and the Mob gave him unemployment compensation just to get rid of him!
I guess Ole Boss Hogg fired Ole Dumb Roscoe and hired Sheriff Dale. I'm glad I don't live in Hazzard County.
